Melting Permafrost: Scientists Warn of Dangers of Trapped Carbon
Research published Thursday in the journal <i>Science</i> says that even slightly warmer temperatures could start melting permafrost, which in turn threatens to trigger the release of huge amounts of greenhouse gases trapped in ice.
