Pope Benedict XVI is nothing if not conservative. He spent the last eight years battling against relativism and individualism -- before breaking with tradition and taking a step that no pope has made for over 700 years. German commentators say his papacy failed to introduce much-needed reforms.

I respect the liberal views of Der Spiegel but these are times ofen need morality above so called "modernism"

sexual abuse, ignorance vs. women, etc. … Catholic hospitals in Germany recently didn't help a woman, who was a victim of a rape – (every life must grow and given birth, even if the origin was a rapist:) they are talking always vs. women, never vs. men; tolerating an British idiot "Pius" bishop who said there was no Holocaust… – I don’t need any pope no more …
