Mayan Myths: The End Might Actually Come on Christmas Eve
Open your presents early this year. Even though the world showed no signs of ending on Friday, the Mayan calendar is notoriously tricky. One German researcher says that Dec. 24th could be the big day. Then again, the Mayans were never particularly good at making predictions.

It's all a load of crap for naysayers. I find any end of the world predictions fairly hard to swallow. When I talk to my friend from Sweden, and he says "The end is soon", it just sounds like doomful fatalism from someone who is tired of life and wants it all to end.
