SPIEGEL Editors' Note: Were Syria Photos Too Baroque To Be Real?
A SPIEGEL reader recently wrote in to question the veracity of two striking photos the magazine ran to accompany a story on the Syrian town of Manbij. The magazine's photo editors have investigated the authenticity of the photos and reported their findings.
