The storm washed train cars onto highways and dragged an entire roller coaster into the sea. Hurricane Sandy revealed just how vulnerable America is to the forces of nature. Clean-up is likely to take weeks or even months in the hardest hit sections of New Jersey.

It didn't hit New England too bad where I live. Though on my block a few windows actually left my building wholesale, frames and drapes flying out scattering glass. I helped sweep it up. Then it was over really quick and not really any damage or flooding. New England is the safest area of the USA, rarely suffering drought or anything beyond blizzard.
