Google has long insisted that it is "not a conventional company." An increasing number of users, competitors and advertisers are starting to doubt that claim. As the intransparent search engine giant expands its offerings, companies that stand in the way claim they are being made to suffer. Anti-trust agencies on both sides of the Atlantic are listening. By SPIEGEL Staff

Google provides a free service to its users. If you dont like what they provide go back to using a map & compass, write letters & use the postal service, buy the encyclopedia Britannica, buy an Oxford English dictionary & an Atlas, go & use MSN, Yahoo, AOL or Firefox or Try Apple & Safari or you could just use "Google" who provide what you want and for free. You can delete your web browsing or retain it to make future searches more relevant. Why does the EU have an issue with something that is a choice as to weather you use it or not? The same goes with Microsoft too for that matter, if you dont like explorer buy an Android machine or an Apple, its got nothing to do with the EU IO wish they would butt out as in the long term it will end up costing us the consumer if they dont.

I rarely use google. I wish they would stop taking over sites like youtube and forcing people to get gmail accounts. Everywhere it has become "login with your google ID".
Alternatively, you can use zoho mail. I think google doesnt control it yet, and there are no ads. Also I almost always use ixquick to search, as it doesn't save your data and is private. http://www.zoho.com/ https://ixquick.com/ Alternatively, I am sick of the internet. I quit being a web-designer and check out real books made of paper from the library. I never read books online. I also own real dictionaries made of paper. I also stopped making digital art and stick to real paint. I am actually prepared for the internet to shut down and would welcome the event. The only loss would be so much free music and free foreign films. How could I watch so many Aki Kaurismäki films without torrents? |
