Helmut Kohl's Secrets: Former Chancellor's Ghostwriter Plans New Book
Journalist and ghostwriter Heribert Schwan spent years working with Helmut Kohl on his memoirs. He was able to amass a vast archive of material on the conservative politician and statesman before the former chancellor ended their collaboration, a move Schwan believes was engineered by Kohl's new wife. SPIEGEL spoke with Schwan about his plans to publish his research.

A word is a word?
I wonder if we shall now find out why Helmut Kohl broke all his promises, to the expellees from former Eastern German territories, but refused to name his illegal financiers. Could there possibly be a connection between these two decisions? Is a word given only worth something when a profit can be made?
