Anybody who thinks that der Spiegel has any self substance must feel cheated by this creeping Americanisation of EU politics and the takeover of our media by US interest groups. Why should the GB tail wag the US poodle, surely its the other way round.

Once again fascism is looking us in the face , indeed staring at us and this time it is a global phenomena, a festering pariah that shatters world peace.

I really dont know who controls what anymore. I have left the USA to get away from conservatives, but encountered conservatives overseas who backed the USA at every turn. I often feel like I am being psychically gripped by some invisible force that grapples with my existence and infuriates me. It's difficult to understand even it's origins.

I believe as even many conservatives believed during the invasion of the Philippines, that imperialism by the USA has a result of incoming immigrants and poverty in the nations under the empire. I really cant understand the ambitions of other people. Sometimes I think even Germany or England controls the USA, but then when I examine the agencies like Deutsch Bank, they are under control by Jewish bankers, like this mafioso Bausano:

Since I am not ambitious and can live happily in a one bedroom apartment with limited consumption of newly produced consumer goods (even my shoes are from a second-hand store), and am content with even a 5 year old computer that I run in my flat, I have trouble really understanding anything that people think of me as an American or who really controls what.

I am German and usually writing German contributions here. Occasionally I feel the need to contribute in English but, so far, my contributions never appeared. Perhaps I am too critical of the contents of some journalist who, in my opinion, do not correctly represent the German position like Jan Fleischhauer or Wolfgang Münchau?

What on earth is going on? Censorship? Your jornos are allowed to write c**p but readers offering a different opinion are censored? Where are we, in North Korea?

Perhaps you should take a leaf out of British or French publications and learn something about the rights of free expression. Or is it that typical German lack of imagination that somebody registered on the German site cannot possibly want to also write a comment in English, must have done so out of pure absentmindedness.

And that's not true the Pharaohs said to his people "I'm the great god" but Dr. Morse didn't reach that . Also everybody knows that Mubark he had the full power and more if there's any description to cover that meaning.

marginalize the rights of women and religious minorities" Islam gives the women's rights more than any other system and as I notice you know about Islam and it will be easy for you to find out that. As will the rights of religious minorities.

Dr. ElBaradei said " Who sits in this group? One person, who wants to ban music, because it's allegedly against Sharia law; another, who denies the Holocaust; another, who openly condemns democracy." I'm Egyptian and I want to ban music, because it's allegedly against Sharia law; Also I denies the Holocaust and that's my rights , also one of my rights that I should have somebody in the group to Represent me and my ideas. But what Dr. ElBaradi said about that make me think and wonder what democracy he speak about if he's not able to accept others opinion

Der Spiegel can be understood fully merely by finding a picture of their office building in Hamburg. One look at that building says it all. Do we really expect anything truly human to come out of that glass box? It reminds one of the chinese puzzle box from hellraiser.

If you give it the right twist, will demons come out? Looking at that building, and reading these articles, I am reminded of the weird American reality of Citizen's United, that states that corporations are people. Does the indention on the Der Spiegel building move like a mouth? Can the unified office workers form a new consciousness as one and produce bizarrely written objectifications of reality. Ive read some criticisms of Der Spiegel in the past accuse them of distorting reality with false-objective writing.

Wolf Schneider called Der Spiegel "The Biggest mangler of the German language." And he wrote Der Spiegel "hides and distorts its actual topics and issues by manipulative semantics and rhetoric rather than by reporting and analysing them". Hans Magnus Enzensberger claimed that Der Spiegel had a "pretended objectivity".

Well you can start by supporting the young man who's information has made you lots of money via Wikileaks, Bradley Manning.
Its not good enough to try and cover up the cowardly actions of collateral bloodthirsty murderers.

This forum idea doesn't work well as a substitute for comments after the article. By the time you are logged in and sent to the general forum page you will forget about making a comment. If you persist you will see that no one has commented. Why not do what other publications do? Put comments at the bottom of the page for a limited period.
