Default Yes to Europe, no to the Euro

The United Europe was a good idea! It has however been ruined by the greedy and arrogant politicians who seek incomes and powers which have little or nothing to do with democracy.
The Euro currency was also a good idea, but it was introduced before a strong fundamental basis of harmonised tax, social insurance and employment policies had been put into place. Under these circumstances it is bound to fail!
To rob the retired and unemployed, in order save incompetent banks, is the last straw before civil unrest.
Of course most Europeans would love Europe to remain peaceful and united, possibly with just one currency, but this will only be possible when the fundamentals have been laid. This is not yet the case!
Not only the national governments are too selfish for true co-operation, but also the individual politicians themselves. The closeness of peoples representatives, to industry and commerce, has with the help of lobbyists, led to a new form of aristocracy, which is and never was the idea behind the Europe for and of the people.
