Default Berlin's Culture War: Debate Pits Modern Art against Old Masters

All summer long, a heated debate has simmered in Berlin over the future of its world-famous collection of Old Masters paintings. The city wants to move the Gemäldegalerie to make room for a modern art museum that would rival MOMA. Critics say it will cause at least half of one of Europe's most important art collections to be put in storage for years.

Default simple is always best

in the quest to make berlin a world art capital,
why not do something special create a new museum
in a repurposed building? I think that Tempelhof
Airport would make a spectacular world class modern
art museum! lots of space for every type of exhibition,
indoor or out, already used for lots of public events.
think of the unlimited possabilities of mounting new
exhibitions where size is not a problem!!the tate museum
in london is an outstanding example of this type of
redesign for reuse.the oppertunity of this sort is really a no
brainer.the airport is there waiting for reincarnation as
Berlins Must See Modern Art Museum.BERLIN TEMPELHOF
MODERN B>T>M> Now is the time to take advantage of
this spectacular possability.let it be!!!!!!!

there is a way to create a world class modern art museum in berlin.
repurpose the tempelhof airpot.in london the tate modern did the
same.tempelhof has the space for any art exhibit new or old, unlimited
storage ,office space , educational ,theaters.this could truly make
berlin a major contemporary art center.it seems to be a np brainer.
no new building needed a simple solution?

Default a simple solution

what about the tempelhof airport, repurposed as a modern art complex,
like the tate modern in london, but with bigger world class exhibition spaces?
it seems a perfect place to combine all the collections as well as launch
contemporary shows that seem to require vast amounts of space.this could truely make berlin the modern art capital it strives to be,economically too!!

Default Let US take, for instance, Salvador Dali on Modern Art

Let US take, for instance, Salvador Dali on Modern Art (The Cuckolds od Antiquated Modern art, Ed. Dover):

“I, Salvador Dali, come from Spain, which is the most irrational country in the world… having a gastronomical and supergelatinous, Proustian and gamey uncertainty… Sorbone December 16, 1955.. ”.

“… the critics of the very antiquated modern art – who come from more or less central Europe (like Soros, addition mine), in other words from nowhere…”

“Stalinian cuckolds are two in number:"

"First, the old Dadaist cuckolds… ".

"Second, the congenital cuckold: the dithyrambic critic of modern art…”

“…the great Pablo, the Angelic Raphael, the divine Marquis of Sade…”.

“At his algid moment of his frenzy of ugliness, I sent Picasso the following telegram from New York:".

"Pablo thanks! Your last ignominious paintings have killed modern art..."

"You with all the violence of your Iberian anarchism, have achieved the limits and the final consequences of the abominable in a mere few weeks..."

"And this you have done, as Nietzsche would have wished… ”.

“Pablo wanted to be a communist. He has, nevertheless, remained as a king of us all.”
