As a regular poster on the UK`s Independent I find German online papers a font of information.
We in the UK have gone in for flash and hyperbole while Germany has kept it`s cool!

Keep it up.

But please speed up the moderation.

Then again, maybe the whole forum is controlled by Canadians, and that would explain the British English articles. After all the English forum is obsessed with the USA, and Canadians are obsessed with the USA also, no? I don't understand german so I couldn't read the article about Schettino...but I'm a bit sorry about it...

I partly agree with you when you say that italians are not a race...after 1500 years Italy became again a nation, but in 1500 years people had different education, customs, developments, languages and such different people had to live together under a new flag
But we had a strong, enviable and deserving respect progress that was the foundation of italian culture...and that is the heritage of all of us!

I don't agree with "il Giornale" answer about your article: the past should be understood, exceeded and improved.

This frankly is a load of it. Hard to believe what people come up with. I voted today early, absentee ballot. I voted for Jill Stein. The Green Independent Party is the only major party that endorses clean elections on the ballot.

Anybody who thinks that der Spiegel has any self substance must feel cheated by this creeping Americanisation of EU politics and the takeover of our media by US interest groups. Why should the GB tail wag the US poodle, surely its the other way round.
